2. Calibite Application Privacy & Data Processing

Calibite is designed with privacy-first principles. We collect and process only the minimal data necessary to provide computer-vision nutrition analysis and meal planning:

Camera & Photo Library Access: Calibite requests camera and photo permissions solely to allow you to photograph your meals or pantry items. Images are transmitted over encrypted TLS connections directly to our secure inference API for real-time bounding box and macronutrient decomposition. Images are not used for advertising, nor are they sold to third parties.
Nutritional & Meal Logs: Information you record in the app (such as food items, caloric estimates, macronutrients, and logged timestamps) is stored securely in our cloud database (Firestore) associated with your authenticated user identifier to synchronize your meal history across your devices.
Barcode Scanning: When you scan a product barcode (UPC/EAN), the numeric code is looked up against food taxonomy registries to retrieve verified nutritional facts.
Anonymous Authentication: Users can explore Calibite anonymously. You can link your account to an Apple ID or Google account at any time, preserving your logged telemetry without data loss.

3. Information Collected via the Website

Contact Details: Your name, email address, Telegram handle, or WhatsApp number as provided voluntarily by you.
